I could not resist swatching another stitch pattern from Moira and Anna Ravenscroft's Book. This one is named Double Twill and it knit up quickly. It is a simple combination of knit and purl stitches that creates a wonderful pattern and texture.
This sample is 2 repeats of the 18 stitch pattern across and one and a half repeats of the 18 row pattern. I cast of 37 stitches on U.S. Size 7 knitting needles using a worsted weight cotton for my sample.
I I am already envisioning pillows and place mats using this wonderful stitch pattern.
Check out last week's Stitch Pattern Saturday entry for the details on this wonderful stitch pattern book and how to purchase a copy for yourself.
