My friend, Jen at the Leisure Arts Blog posted the link to the interview of Susan Sullivan, Editorial Vice President of Leisure Arts.
I read the Leisure Arts blog faithfully as Jen always has some great project to talk about. Be sure to check it out. The link brought me to a podcast that I wasn't familiar with by Marly Bird. I'll be checking in with the podcast regularly now.
So many of us that knit and sew and create are familiar with Leisure Arts publications. They've been printing our instruction books since the early 1970's. I have been fortunate to have my designs for the Knit Dress dishcloths published by Leisure Arts and I've worked with Susan Sullivan to bring those designs to knitters everywhere.
The interview gave me a chance to know a little more about Susan and her background and also lots of great information about Leisure Arts. She also discusses the process for submitting designs for consideration. I submitted mine and I was thrilled when I was contacted by Susan about having them published.
